KUSA - Three sisters from New York, who live in Colorado now, run an Internet gift shop with a purpose.  It's called PRISSAM, spelled that way for a reason.  The company is named after their parents, Priscilla and Sam. Their business plan is based on what their parents taught them: look at life in a different perspective.

That's why the gifts they sell are meant to inspire people who have cancer, or other illnesses. They also offer prisms, and pieces to honor survivors. One piece is designed so the person can remove colored stones - one for each treatment - until only the clear stones are left. It was inspired by a William Faulkner saying, "to remove a mountain, you need to start by carrying away small stones".

The sisters hope every piece they sell will make someone feel better. Their business really makes them feel better. They say the collection is inspirational, motivational, and empowers people, providing support that the person may need to go through a life altering experience.

PRISSAM also sells artwork to celebrate happier times, like weddings, anniversaries and graduations. They also give a portion of their profits to organizations that do research for cures to several diseases.
